“Watchmakers – The Masters of Art Horology”, a special event, which brings together exceptional pieces of watchmaking made by 12 leading independent watchmakers from around the world.

Hajime Asaoka, Christophe Claret, Ludovic Ballouard, De Bethune, Philippe Dufour, Laurent Ferrier, Romain Gauthier, Vianney Halter, Christian Klings, Jean Daniel Nicolas, Roger W. Smith and Kari Voutilainen are the master watchmakers who have created the unique pieces of the Watchmakers exhibition held at the Maxxi Museum in Rome.

Also on display is a special piece: Anniversary, the latest watch made by the late George Daniels, whom many consider the father of modern independent watchmaking and which has directly influenced the work of many other artists.

The exhibition’s mission is to support the master watchmakers and give them the right visibility. They are the symbol of an extremely important and at the same time very fragile community of artisans who work tirelessly to safeguard their art. It is no coincidence, in fact, that many of their creations have already been present in the past in the very prestigious Phillips auction house, as they are already in great demand for quality and beauty.

Masterpieces of inimitable beauty, prodigies of the art of measuring time, unique pieces of inestimable value.
